About the role
Design high-converting Shopify storefronts end to end — from wireframe to polished, developer-ready Figma files. You own the visual direction of the stores we build for DTC brands.
What you'll do
- Design homepages, collection pages, product pages and landing pages for Shopify stores.
- Turn brand guidelines and client references into a consistent visual system.
- Build reusable Figma component libraries so the same design scales across sections.
- Hand off developer-ready files: spacing, states, breakpoints and assets all specified.
- Work with the dev team through build and review, and fix what doesn't survive contact with real content.
- Review live stores against the design and flag conversion or usability issues.
What we need from you
- A portfolio with real ecommerce or landing page work — case studies beat dribbble shots.
- Strong Figma skills: auto layout, components, variants, responsive frames.
- Solid grasp of typography, spacing, hierarchy and colour in a commercial context.
- Mobile-first thinking — most Shopify traffic is on a phone.
- Clear written English and the ability to explain a design decision.
Nice to have
Not required. Missing all of these should not stop you applying.
- • Familiarity with Shopify themes, sections and the limits of the theme editor.
- • Basic HTML/CSS reading ability.
- • Motion / micro-interaction design.
- • Experience with CRO testing or heatmap tools.
